how can dumputxoutset and loadutxoutset helpin fast sync

There is not enough docs on these commands. I only have read that it allows to sync a fresh node to the current tip faster and then syncs the whole blockchain in the background. I have tried this but I am getting different types of errors each time. Using bitcoin v28.
