Bitcoin Transaction Disappeared

I recently installed Bit Core and run a Bit Coin wallet. I also installed Sparrow, which created the cormorant wallet in Bit Coin Core.

  1. I sent a transaction to my Sparrow wallet from an Exchange - and it appeared in Sparrow
  2. In Bitcoin core I see it in my Cormorant wallet.
  3. I want to transfer the contents of my Cormorant wallet to my Bit Coin Core Wallet and maintain all my bitcoin in the Bit Coin Core wallet.
  4. I sent contents of my Cormorant Wallet to my BitCoin Core wallet
  5. Transaction is processed on the block chain and confirmed for my Bit Coin core wallet address
  6. I see my cormorant wallet has been debited the transaction amount
  7. I never see the transaction amount in my BitCoin Core wallet.

Any idea what the issue is? And is it best practice to use the Bit Coin Core wallet to to hold my BTC before moving off to cold storage. I intend to leave Sparrow entirely out of the picture moving forward, as it did not work as expected with my Bit Coin core wallet

How to compute MAST commit bytes in bitcoin payment?

The hash digests used to create the commitments are each 32 bytes, so proving that a spend of Figure 7-6 is authorized (using a merkle tree and the particular conditions) and authenticated (using signatures) uses 383 bytes. By comparison, the same spend without a merkle tree (i.e., providing all possible authorization conditions) uses 412 bytes. Can anyone explain how to compute 383 bytes and 412 bytes?
